The
Abuja Zone Exhibition of the 2017 Festival has kicked off
at the Thought Pyramid Art Centre on Libreville Street, Wuse ll.It was declared open Tuesday 19
September, by LIMCAF Board member, Vin Martin Obiora Ilo, CEO/Senior Principal,
Signature Communications Ltd, Abuja.A total of 26 artworks from the zone
are featured in the exhibition that will run till 24th September
2017.Guests present at the opening
included the representative of the French Embassy, Matina Lacal, Cultural Program
Officer, Institute Française, the Swiss Ambassador, Dr Ayo Adewunmi ’Art Director of LIMCAF and several other diplomats
and special guests.Ibadan
Zone Exhibition is next and will open on 28th
September 2017, followed by Lagos on
the 30th September 2017 and Enugu
on the 3rd of October 2017.
The Zone Exhibitions are the second stage of the selection process from which the jurors determine the finalists whose
works will feature in the Grand Finale Exhibition,
opening in Enugu on Monday 22nd
October 2017 at the International Conference Auditorium IMT, ENUGU
The climax of the festival, the Gala
and award night takes place on Saturday 28 October 2017 at the same 
venue.
