ARTWORK PURCHASE POLICY

Background

Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF), the biggest and longest running nationwide, visual arts festival in Nigeria is a private charity youth empowerment project initiated in 2007 by Chief Rob Oji, to drive the appreciation of visual arts and encourage young artists towards excellence in art.

It is managed by a Board of Trustees chaired by Elder K. U. Kalu CON. His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, CFR, Obi of Onitsha and Emeritus Prof. El Anatsui are Patrons of the Festival.

LIMCAF 2021, is the Festival’s fourteenth edition themed “Vision 2020: So far, So what?”and will climax with the Grand Finale Exhibition of theTop 100 Artworksselected from over 500 entries from all over Nigeria.

Buying Policy

Works at LIMCAF Exhibitions are available for sale on the following conditions.

1.      The e-Catalogue will be publicized on our website www.lifeinmycityartsfestival.org and other LIMCAF e-platforms. Price of each artwork will be indicated.

2.      Buyers are expected to indicate interest in the works they are willing to purchase at the advertised price as stated in the e-catalogue or virtual gallery.

3.      Works that win major prizes at automatically become part of the LIMCAF Official Collection /Hall of Fame. Such works will therefore not be offered for sale immediately.However, if a buyer is willing to buy at a value greater than the award prize and his/her offer is agreeable to LIMCAF organizers, such artwork may be sold with terms and conditions.

4.      Members of the public may indicate interest in any of the advertised artworks and may proceed to purchase the work only after the Award Ceremony.

5.      Buyers shall bear the cost of shipment and installation of the artwork if required.
